Maggie's Choice

This is a glimpse of the novel I'm working on, or at least a new scene using the characters in the novel.  This is about a single scene told from the viewpoints of two different characters.  I would love some input from readers about which viewpoint seemed more intriguing or made you slip into their story more, the teen or his mother. 

The novel is about a woman who must decide whether or not to step in and raise her teenage nephew knowing that, along with him, she also must raise her sister.
