The transcription is going well.  I much prefer interviews over training groups.  I am in the midst of transcribing a lengthy training audio -- twenty hours worth --- where the teacher/speaker is interacting with the students, which creates a lot of interruption within the audio, time consuming.  Plus the quality of the audio is poor.  So, it is very tedious, but worthwhile in the end and I am learning a lot about energized and engaging public speaking.

I also have done two transcriptions of interview audio --- finishing the second this morning.  These are much clearer.  The good part of it all is that I am learning about different things.

It's amazing how much you retain when you are not only listening but transcribing everything that is said.  Phenomenal.  Though I haven't received any money as yet, I know it is forthcoming and that makes me happy.  (Not sure how I will do the tax calculation, etc., for the government...  But I will figure that out when the money starts falling.)

I also feel extremely empowered for the first time in, literally, years.  I am making money as a "contractor."  It's great.  So, today, I am very thankful, grateful to God.

Once --- er if --- I get a regular full-time job, I intend to continue with the transcription because it is another source of income and I certainly don't want all of my eggs in one basket.  If I could make enough money doing this contractor work, I would do it full-time because for the first time in my life, I feel like I am working for myself --- instead of for some fat-cat who doesn't appreciate me.
