Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
ME: Peter, the Pie Guy, held hostage a blackberry pie. I rescued a piece for $3. Absconded with the evidence. Bought mixed greens ...because I should eat more greens... bought cilantro and cooked it up with my gallo pinto (rice and beans). Added a bit of orange, lots of garlic. Let's say that it was a Greek version. Went to Butterfly Herbs for coffee. Wrote a poem. Gave a copy to Chris. I'll re-edit and post today. "Dawn's pocket full of prose" Checked my mail box. The usual suspects, no surprises. Remember when folks actually sent post cards and letters? They don't nowadays. I know a couple I sent from Costa Rica arrived. Screwed up with addresses and didn't send as many as I should've, could've. Kept touch with facebook and my blog... That does count, doesn't it? Called my mother. She sounded normal. Which at 89 is great! She was a bit loony and ill for a week (medication) and in the hospital. Sadly, she said she won't be visiting my sister this autumn. So... When do I visit England? Been looking at costs, time, hassles... Still cheaper to Dublin, but there's a sweet trip from Seattle to Manchester through Keflavik on Icelandic. But about $1,100 roundtrip. August, September, October, November? Plus, now I need to get serious about bus tripping... (without the drugs, although valium would be advisable at times). When is Noelani visiting Eureka? Will the temps drop below 100 in Iowa this summer? How far (and how long) to Tipperary? We in Montana want to know. Just finished off a piece of Boston brown bread with butter (BBB has whole wheat, molasses, rye, cornmeal, raisins ... moist, sweet and brown). Gotta go... 22,690 |
