ME: I need to go for a walk. Went to the Rose Garden yesterday. So sad, only half the beds are planted. The October 8th, 2009 die-off has not been replaced. So... I'll finish this post when I get back as I really need to get OUT-of-HERE! Been spending too much time "at home". Later... Later... It was 79 when I went out; 74 when I was done with my walk; 71 when I got back from the store. Our temperatures plummet at dusk. Very dry day. Almost ...I said almost... couldn't smell the linden. Yes, I'm eating. No, I'm probably not eating well. But ...my shelves are emptying out of older food. Out with the old... in with potatoes. Hmmm... forgot to buy rice... Spent $21. I splurged and bought yogurt and cran-raspberry juice. Tomorrow I should go to the farmers market and hope for cherries. Everything is quite late. By-the-way, I'm writing. No, I'm not editing like I should. Yes, I'm reading. Finished The Etiquette of Freedom with Gary Snyder and Jim Harrison. I figure it must be the sun... In Costa Rica I could go to bed at 9 or 10 no problem. 10 would be 4 hours after the sun sets at 6. Here it isn't dark till 10 and some days I can't sleep until 2 a.m. On the other hand... I sleep best in the cool of the morning. Indirect natural light does not bother me. Artificial does. Same with noises. I woke up the other day and it was 44 degrees. No problem going back to bed for a peaceful rest. I'm running out of good pictures I took at Manuel Antonio/Quepos this last trip to Costa Rica. Been posting at facebook. This means I'll have to open up another album for a different part of the trip... no prob. 22,864 |
