Ramblings of a Samurai and his Duct Tape

New Blog

I have decided to migrate to a new site for my Blog. While it's great having one here on WDC, this site doesn't get much traffic outside of the community. I've chosen instead to go to Wordpress for my blog usage.





People might be wondering why would I want to go somewhere else to blog when I have this one right here?


Exposure: That's a biggie. I aspire to become a published author, and while this is a good site, it doesn't get enough exposure, at least for blogging. I'll still be writing here, but not blogging.


Cross functionality: I've linked my blog to my Facebook, so anytime I post something on my blog, it will put a post on my Facebook saying I got a new one up.


Professional look: When that point comes that I'm looking for an Agent and/or Publisher, it can only help me to have a blog in a more visible place. Marketing is the way to sell your books and yourself, and I don't see a blog here helping me beyond what I already do, whereas I do see at least the potential of a Wordpress blog assisting in it.
