Where In The World Is Sum1?

Did you see my cowboy hat in Texas today?

         Well, here I am in the vast state of Texas.  I'm in a small town on the Rio Grande called Del Rio.  There doesn't seem to be a lot here, other than Laughlin AFB, the reason why I'm here.    The countryside is beautiful though, reminds me of where I grew up, Albuquerque.  I've always loved the desert, and while this isn't quite the same, it looks very similar.  The best thing about being here?  Pollen count is low, my eyes don't itch day in and day out.  Tomorrow morning I'll fly to Tampa to deliver a class for MacDill AFB, then go home to Chicago Friday.  Sunday (a week from today), I'll be flying to Albuquerque to see my mother and brother briefly before driving to Clovis NM to deliver a class there for Cannon AFB.  Gee, you'd think that being a retired Navy man that I could deliver a class to the Navy once in a while!    See you next time round, maybe in a Panama hat then!
