STORM
In this storm I lie awake. Holding my breath. Eyes shut tight. Thoughts scattered in the mist. Wounds open… bleeding, before the shattering rain.
HIS hand holds mine. The radiance of HIS skin warms my chilled, blue soul. By my side HE lays. In the storm the Almighty works.
HE works to free me. Fights to save me from the dismantled world, my dismantled spirit. The One Who is always there. Always watching, listening, supporting, and just waiting.
With HIS strength I rise. Feet trembling, heart bleeding… empty. I reach for HIS embrace. The Savior wraps me in HIS presence. I will go on.
But for HIM to move me I must surrender, submit, and reach.
Before I become a storm within a storm.
