A Goal
One of my writing goals is to compose my writing on the computer rather than my current method of using pen & paper to compose all my writing.  I think using pen and paper can be fine for some kinds of writing, but there are some pieces I can see where composing on the computer is much more efficient.

For example, I am taking some writing classes online.  We are each writing for individual projects - and writing for my project is fine on paper, but all the class discussion is also online (naturally). It is very inefficient to write answers initially on paper, then rewrite them on the computer.

My inner critic, the Gremlin, works hard to keep me from making a fool out of myself. To him that means he prevents me from writing even one word.  But when I compose on paper I can outrun him - or outWrite him.  I write as quickly as my hand can go.  On paper it doesn't matter to me if what I'm writing makes no sense at all - it usually does though.  Typing is quite a different story.  I have to think about where my fingers are - and which ones to use to make words.

In all the thinking I can see what I'm writing and my Gremlin, in all his glee says, "You can't say that!  NO! Not that either.  What is That?"

Now I spend more time correcting than discussing.  My goal is to become a writer on the computer.

I am practicing on Writing.com

Welcome to my writing practice.
