The Continuing Saga of Prosperous Snow |
April 6, 2012, Good Friday, Day 6 ~ 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is "In the tradition of bloggers everywhere, tell us all about your day, in great detail, even the mundane stuff, but especially the good stuff, the parts of your day that inspired you, that motivated you, that showed you the joy in your life. Tell us how your Good Friday was, whether you laughed or whether you cried. You know, blog." The difference between a good and bad Friday is perception. To quote or misquote Dr. Phil “There is no reality it’s all perception.” Today could have turned out either good or bad. It turned out to be a Good Friday and the fact that it is the Friday before Easter has nothing to do with it. This morning about 4:00 AM, I phoned in my Levothyroxine prescription. The message said the prescription would be ready after 12:00 PM. However, I have called in prescriptions before and I know that the pharmacist fill prescriptions as soon as they get to work in the morning, which is between 8:00 and 9:00. I figured that the tablets would be ready when I got to Smith’s Food & Drug about 10:30 AM. The first store I went this morning was Office Depot. I bought printer cartridges because I wanted to make sure I did not run out this weekend. I am planning a lot of printing and I cannot get back to a store until Monday or Tuesday. Naturally, I bought more then what I planned, but that is something I do most of the time. I went to Smith’s and filled a shopping cart before I picked up my prescription. I picked up the prescription and then went to pay for my groceries. It took longer at the check out station then normal because the checker had to refund all the items she put into the cash register and then ring them up again. I came home, unloaded my groceries and then fixed myself an egg sandwich. After that, I checked some websites and sit down on the couch to watch some television, but went to sleep; apparently, my morning wore me out. I also did a load of towels sometime this afternoon. Overall, it was a Good Friday because I didn’t let a few difficulties ruin the day.
