Wednesday, June 20, 2012, Day 21 ~ 30-Day Blogging Challenge prompt is "Talk about your high school days." What is there to say Concerning my high school days Teen anxiety All right, my high school years were better then my years in Junior High. Years it sounds as if I am talking about ages or centuries. True it felt like that at the time, but the few years between entering high school and graduating was not that long. Thinking back, I remember the years in high school fondly. The move in between Junior High and High School made Made a difference We moved from Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Shawnee, Oklahoma, between my Junior High and High School years. It was a big difference. In Junior High I went to an all white Junior High School simply because Blackwell was a sundown town at the time. This was before integration. However, when I moved to Shawnee I entered an integrated High School because there was only one High School in Shawnee. It did not matter whether you were white, black, or Native American if you wanted to go to High School in Shawnee you could attend only one school. Never attended prom Sometime I wonder if I Missed something or not I did not attend my Senior Prom. Sometimes I regret not going even if I did not have a date. Sometimes I am glad I did not go. I graduated from High School in the early-late 60s. The national historic event that stands out during my High School years was the murder of President Kennedy in Dallas, Texas.
