This is my first attempt to be a blogger. I hope to type a few items that you will enjoy. |
Happy Fourth of July---Yall! Today is America's birthday. I am happy to be in a land where I can experience freedom and be protected by our constitution. Does this sound wishy washy? Well I guess a little bit. But here I can do almost anything that I want. (Within good reasonable limits.) Everyone will be celebrating with fun, friends and good old food. I just will have another day. I'll watch "Independence Day" and cheer when the bad aliens get blown up. I have a big chocolate cake in the fridge and can't wait to dig in. But wait, I thought that this was about our independence! Right! It is and I am thankful for the people who fought in 1776 as well as 1941 for me. Many men and women went into the wars and pretty well knew that they would not come out alive. History books tell of George Washingon. There are probably many other Georges who were there. America is a symbol for those in other countries to try to emulate. Right now, we are at a pivotal point in that our next election can make a critical difference. So if this BLOG is being read by anyone else, go vote. Make your voice heard in the ballot box. I plan to vote. And I hope that we can say that after all the votes counted that we made the right decision. Enough said. My goal for now is about the same as before: clean, organize and get health check ups. I have not gone up in the hot air balloon yet. I have waited 20 months but after the next time, if I don't go up, I am cancelling. I've got better things to do. Well, must go. Dishes need washing and then it's on to Stargate SG1. Gee I wish that there was a real stargate. I'd love to see what other planets look like. Again---Happy Birthday America!!! |
