Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
...even my aunt was worried. ME: Feeling okay. The other day I was blue... as in my shit was blue. I mean blue! A shade of bright blue-green that just ain't right. So... I mentioned it to Sam at the farmers market. She said... it probably was the blue frosting on the cake I ate the day before... duh. Garden: I trimmed some verdulaga (portulaca sp.) so I can plant a bunch under the garbage receptacle. It should be prettier than bare orange dirt I figure. Colors? Orange, red, pink, yellow. Some is ready to plant allready but I figure I need at least 30 cuttings. Costa Rica or Montana: Let's face it. I live here. This is both good and bad. I'll have to make decisions when I go back to Montana in early September. I'm thinking about traveling for two months and coming back here before mid-November and the writer's conference in my home town in CR. Will try to do the festival in Missoula as well. Need to check dates of gatherings in Oklahoma. Must check when Noe will be in Eureka... So much work. Traveling versus resting: A.k.a. exhausted versus bored. I'm old. I need to plan my trips better so I can both enjoy them and not get exhausted. I never did like roller-coasters. Now, my body can't take it. In the last year: July 1st I was in Costa Rica. Went back to Montana. Traveled to England for three weeks in Aug/Sep for what was a wonderful vacation. Back to Montana. Too tired to travel. Came back to CR at the beginning of December and stayed till the end of February. Montana for 3 weeks and back to CR. In May I went to Norway and Sweden for 3 busy weeks. Days of energy and days of collapse. Back to CR by June 7th. How many trips does that make in a year? How many photos? How much written? I took over 2,000 photos in England, over 3,500 in Norway and Sweden. I take photos in Montana and Costa Rica most every day. Writing? Not so much writing. I need peace and quiet for that. Angst and boredom help. Still, periods of travel punctuated by periods of rest may be a decent plan for the next couple years. I'm old. Just not dead yet. Internet: Can't live without it. Been able to post on facebook through my phone but without regular internet can't come here or post photos on facebook. Today? A decent signal at Valley Coffee. Even called my aunt. (31,593 views) |
