Chapter 12
"Oh my God!" Bonnie jumped up and screamed.
"Why didn't I think of this before?"
Bonnie ran over and put the blind back on the window.
She hung it up on both sides.
Janet ran around the room swinging at things with her knife.
Barely missing Bonnie a couple of times.
Bonnie kept one eye behind her and one eye on the blind she was trying to tape up.
She noticed one thing. The only time Janet seemed to get riled up was when the sun light
shined through the room.
Bonnie grabbed the duct tape and started to seal up the sides of the blind.
She noticed Janet was calming down.
The darkness seemed to soothe her.
Janet was pacing like a wild animal, but it was better than her swinging the knife
at Bonnie every chance she got.
Bonnie hung up the last piece of tape.
She looked at Janet who was as cool as a cucumber now.
Somehow the light gave Janet power and strength.
Bonnie just didn't understand it.
Most normal people were afraid of the dark.
Not her best friend though. Her best friend found her biggest horrors and nightmares in the
safety of the light. .
Bonnie shook her head. Insanity was a strange thing. Then again, she remembered back when her and Janet
were younger Janet was always a little odd. Sure, she was the responsible one. She was the one with the full time job.
She was the one with the decorating and organizing abilities. Bonnie felt although, she was the one that had been spoiled and sometimes was a
horrible spoiled bitch there was always something that said something inside Janet was wrong.
Like one time, when they were playing this game of Monopoly and Janet got so mad because Bonnie had beaten her three times in a row.
She remembered Janet throwing a huge fit and Bonnie having to leave that night.
One time they were playing Hide-n-seek and it was taking Bonnie a while to find Janet. She found her alright. She was outside hiding in the shed
crying her eyes out. She was saying how Bonnie had abandoned her. A person would think that with Janet's fear of abandonment she would be the
one who was adopted, not Bonnie.
Bonnie stood there looking at Janet. She wondered how all this happened to her? When did it all start going wrong? What could've happened that was so bad that she would lose her mind over it?
Then Bonnie had another thought. What if she hadn't lost her mind? What if Janet did do that horrible thing to Billy and she was just playing like she
was insane so that she could get away with it? Bonnie shook her head scolding herself. 'That's your best friend you're thinking horrible things about'.
Of course, Janet wouldn't do anything of the sort.
The thing she wanted to know most though, is how come no one else figured it out? Didn't Janet have shrinks, doctors and nurses looking after her
24 hours a day? Why didn't someone else think of this? Or had it only become bad until now?
Bonnie smiled at herself. 'It took the dumb blond to be the hero' she thought, wanting to laugh
out loud.
All of a sudden the door flew open and Janet's mother charged in. Bonnie jumped.
Janet's mother started yelling at Janet at the top of her lungs.
The light burst into the room.
Janet tried to escape.
She tried to move past the crowd at the door.
"Nooooooooo!" Bonnie screamed.
