Brainstorming for NaNoWriMo

The following are random thoughts, lines removed from poems I've rewritten and other miscellaneous items that I discovered while cleaning off the hard drive of my old computer. Since I'm not sure what my NaNoWriMo novel is about I'm putting all that stuff here in case something strikes a chord before the first of October when the "October Novel Prep Challenge"  [13+] begins. What I don't use for the novel I'll use in another story or poem.

What does sustainability mean to me?
Sustainability according to the United Nations definition is development that "meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."

I drove into a gas station the other day and got goose pumps from the price of gas.
