When there's nothing to write about...
The smoke is really bothering me. Not one drop of rain this September. No clearing-out wind. I'm not happy.
That said, what does one write about when one has nothing to share?
Yesterday, I went to a lecture, "Modeling Functional Heterogenity of Interactive Ecological Currencies: Understanding Dynamics of Channel, Floodplain, and Aquifer Systems". I understood the underlying premise but was too tired to properly focus.
I told Geoff Poole afterwards that the model of the flow of surface versus sub-surface water reminded me of conversation, oral transmission of knowledge and the written word. They are related but change and flow differently.
When I'm more "with-it" I'll have to make a schematic...
Too much mind-work for today!
Me:
In other words, not much happening. I'm slogging through the dusty days. Today, I'll meet Travis at 3. Tonight I have a poetry group at 8. Looking forward to these moments of connection.
