Me: I remember having a 3/4 bed as a grown child. Then a twin. Nothing too interesting about my beds in college. When I had a house, one of my best was a futon years ago ...and the twin under the tower. My double in Pérez Zeledón (Costa Rica) was comfortable. So ...moved my twin mattress off of the futon and onto the floor last night. Slept much better. I get two weeks of "rest" before I'm off again. Should invest in a good mattress ...some day ...maybe. Best bed I ever slept in was at a friends' in Peoria, Illinois! In traveling I've experienced better and worse. Some of the hostels in Norway and Sweden were quite wonderful. The bed Mavis' put me into was ab-fab on my trip to England. Frankly, I don't mind a couch either. I'll be traveling fom town to town in Costa Rica. Mattresses tend to be thin-ish, and plastic covered. Not-to-worry. But three months is a long time and I hope to find a couple beds I can actually enjoy. At an average of $15/night one cannot expect much! Since I'm budgeting $30/day (I did $28/day on an earlier trip two year ago) I will be counting colones. 36,961 |
