the scales are unbalanced;
yesterday's
reality dissolves
into a fog of shifting colors,
unfamiliar shapes,
and negative voices.

I am looking for a new normal!

What was
is no longer viable;
there is a missing piece
in the puzzle
of my life.

I am looking for a new normal!

I move forward;
I walk through dunes
of shifting sand;
the future
is concealed
behind a wall of swirling water
or is it fog
rolling in
with a tide of fear and doubt.

I am looking for a new normal,
which lies hidden
somewhere ahead,
around the corner,
over a mountain,
out out of sight.
