Fuck the pope

I really want to post on facebook: "It would've been nice if Pope Benedict XVI would've been an inclusive pope instead of a reactionary one. However, all reigns end ... next pope ... please."

But expressing one's opinions is dangerous these days.

My opinion of the pope? He misses the point of being human. I define it as a spiritual being having a human experience. Lots of those experiences are neither pretty nor painless.

But, instead of being loving, kind and supportive he comes off as whiny and defensive. Get over it old man! The World has moved on even if you haven't!

As for same-sex marriage... again get over it. No one is suggesting that the Roman Catholic Church be forced into granting marriages it opposes (like a Jew marrying a Lutheran with a papal blessing; same rules apply to temple marriages in the LDS community). To suggest that the pope knows ALL is sheer fallacy. The hubris!

As for secular marriage ...and that's what is being proposed world-wide ...it's none-of-his-business. As in "get your fist outta my face, fucker!".

But I couldn't say that on facebook.

For humanity to progress we need to focus on who we are at the core, spiritual beings, and work on acquiring spirituality and the virtues it embodies, part of that being loving support for each other in our humanness. Excluding parts of humanity from the equation is counter-productive.

Them is us; and, we is them.
