The January 21, 2013 prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" is Convince me why you appreciate either preparing or eating a home-cooked meal. Describe the preparation or the consumption of a homemade food you enjoy. Each savory bite titillates my taste buds; Nostalgic aromas awaken old memories; Tantalizing flavors tempt overindulgence; Happiness is consuming a home-cooked meal! Utensils and plates on the table Suggest a huge family feast Included are home-made biscuits and gravy And all the Southern fried chicken I can eat; Succulent creamed peas and green salad Then a home-baked cherry pie for desert. I say grace before stuffing my face. Comfort is consuming a home-cooked meal! The January 21, 2013 prompt for "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" is Name something you no longer worry about. I no longer worry about getting fat. I figure as along as I consume foods in moderation and attempt to chew each bite 100 times (sometimes difficult) I can spend my remaining years enjoying the foods I like no matter what the food police say. Life is too short to worry about whether a specific food is good for me. Moderation is the key to a happy life, but I have to remember that I even have to practice moderation in moderation. Weary of worry Of watching my diet I choose moderation and take my medication. The only type of food I have to be a bitch about avoiding is anything I have an allergic response to when I consume it. I know I am allergic to MSG, my body completely reject this food additive within the first hour and sometimes five minutes after I have eaten the food it is in. I may or may not be allergic to some other types of food because sometimes I get heart burn when I eat or drink something that has a lot of acid. I issues with hyper-acidity, but as long as I take my medication I can consume foods high in acid in small amounts. Thought for the Day: Common sense is not so common. - Voltaire |
