May 7, 2013: Do you feel that children should be sheltered from unhappiness?





I used to feel this way so strongly that my children were not allowed to see much of the koas leading to the divorce. I found that the shock of their seemingly happy parents going seperate ways became a bigger challenge than if they had expected it. I still don't think that children should be open to alot of what the world has to offer, but I do think that we must teach them right from wrong before they see the things in the world as they really are.





I now believe that the children can not be sheltered from reality, but we must give them the tools to be compassionate, loyal to their beliefs, and to make the right decisions.





All I can do is pray that I am right.
