Celebrating Graduation
The May 20, 2013 prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUSOpen in new Window. is
Remember a time when you graduated from something, whether it be grade school, high school, college, or a club like Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc. What did the celebrations consist of? What were your major emotions after you graduated?

How did I celebrate graduation? The same way I celebrate every other joyful event in my life with food. It is my personal belief that the only way to celebrate anything is to go out to a restaurant and order my one of favorite foods. What type of food did I eat to celebrate my graduation? I had prime rib with a baked potato and some type of vegetable. I had sour cream and butter on the potato and on the prime rib I had raw horseradish. As for the vegetable I probably had creamed spinach or creamed corn. I would also have had desert and that would have been chocolate cake with ice cream or rhubarb pie with ice cream. Graduation was several years ago, so remembering exactly what I had to eat is a bit difficult.

Food enhances the celebration,
brings joy to the mind and soul.

Food for Thought: “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” - J.R.R. Tolkien
