I really don't have anything to say on wanting a different name. I really love my name. I carry the names of two very special women. My great grand mother Ida was a wonderful lady. Her husband was a headstrong man, and Ida was able to keep a smile on her face and take life day by day with a joy. I barely remember her braiding her gray hair before bed.





Matilda was my mother's mom. She and I were close. I was thirdteen when I had to say good bye forever. She was one person that I really felt understood me.





I think that I am happy and honored to be Ida Matilda.
