You wake up five hundred years and the future and everything is vastly different from what it is now: what is different and what do you do?

Five hundred years asleep,
with only my dreams to eat
I wake up to find myself
curled up on a shelf
and my head
resting on a foam pillow.

Five hundred years in bed
has left my hair a fright
and there is no beauty shop in sight;
what does a woman of 2513 do
when she wants a new hair do?

In the year 2513,
the skies are blue,
the cities are green,
there are no factories belching
stomach retching
chemicals into Earth's atmosphere.

In the year 2513
the human race has left the planet
to me a 3,267 year old woman
and a troop of robot guardians,
who cannot understand why
I am still alive
and singing "In The Year 2525".
