The September 1, 2013 prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" is Recall a memory or experience associated with the number thirteen. What significance does the number "13" have for you? I know that the 13th month in the Baha'i calendar1 is Qudrat (Power). I was 13 years old on December 24, 1959. There were 13 candles on my birthday cake the year I turned 13 and I blew them all out. I once lived in apartment 13. I wrote "Friggatriskaidekaphobia" about fear of Friday the 13th. I know that the numeric root of 13 is 4. October 31, 2015 will be my writing.com 13th birthday. I do not suffer from Friggatriskaidekaphobia2 or Triskaidekaphobia3, but I do have issues with Arachnophobia4. I think the address 1313 13th Street has a nice ring to it, especially if it is a house with 13 rooms. I know that any month which begins on a Sunday has a Friday the 13th in it. I discovered that there are "10 Reasons Why People Fear the Number 13"5 and "13 Reasons People Think the Number 13 is Unlucky"6. I know that 7 + 6 = 13, which is the total number of strips on the U.S. Flag (7 red and 6 white strips).7 I think that good or bad luck has more to do with a person's attitude then the number 13.
