The September 21, 2013 prompt for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS" is Where do your ideas for writing projects come from? Do you have a muse who is constantly generating ideas or one who only pops fragments of ideas into your head at seemingly random times? Sit quietly for five minutes and just let your mind wander. Then, take a couple minutes to tell us where your mind took you. Random though flow through my mind visions of world and people I have never met, questions about recyclable Saturday (was it last week or is it today). Birds fly past my window, I wonder where they are going are they returning to their nest or hunting food. My mind and muse wander across a green landscape wondering about concepts of God and the expanding universe. I inhale the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and I sip hot black coffee from one of my favorite cups; the tastes aroused memories of my childhood and my grandfather's cowboy coffee, which I was allowed to drink with lots of cream and sugar added. God's Most Great Name reverberates through my mind and tranquility settles upon my wandering thoughts and my wondering mind: I realize that the Glory of God is my muse and God's Most Great Spirit generates my creativity. Thought of the Day: “The ‘Muse’ is not an artistic mystery, but a mathematical equation. The gift are those ideas you think of as you drift to sleep. The giver is that one you think of when you first awake.” ― Roman Payne And the prompt for "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" is Let's play the old game- If you take five things to a desert island, what would they be? Why these 5 things? Now, imagine yourself there six months later. Which things would still be awesome? Which things not so much? Prayerbook Coffee Coffee pot Solar powered oven1 Handheld recording device with solar battery and charger2 It is six months later, all my solar powered products are working, I am recording thoughts and poems. I am also in the process of memorizing every prayer in my prayerbook. I am out of coffee and going into caffeine withdrawal, so perhaps the coffee was not the ideal drink to bring with me. On the other hand, the coffee pot is helpful at collecting rainwater or boiling water to drink. Footnotes |
