Something New to Eat - Week Two
What did you eat this week that was out of the ordinary for you? A special treat or maybe something new you tried. - Week Two.

What haven't I eaten. Gaul, I could explode. I am just glad my weight is not reflecting everything. At least it hasn't yet.

But if I go with a specific meal, I would have to today's meal. I like trying something new when I do not have to worry about left overs for my hubby. That way if he hates it I am not caught without him having a dinner for when he goes off to work. For this reason, I do not experiment too much and I tend to stay within what I think he may enjoy.

In the past I have bought a pre-made, just reheat pulled pork which I know is already enjoyed by both of us. A couple of months ago I ran across a recipe one of my favourite authors suggested - pulled pork done in the crock pot with rootbeer. I was intrigued. So I tried it today - six hours on low heat in the crock pot, then when it was done - ditch the rootbeer and shred it and add your favourite BBQ sauce. It was really good, a bit rich, but it was very tasty and both of us liked it. I will definitely add this to my 'make this again' cookbook.

To make it extra special, I even toasted the Kaiser buns.
