Sometimes there are odd things in small country towns that make you look twice.

It might be an original way someone has repaired something, built something, displayed something or done nothing with something.

You know what I mean? Those weird signs, houses, planning styles, pedantic laws, big frog in little puddle ideas, or microscopic frog in tiny puddle in large lake in huge ocean ideas.

Being caught short in a rain forsaken town after having been mostly absent for the past 20-30 odd years, whatever it is, I was starting to get a bit choppy, and keen on finding public amenities.
As it happens, the town might be small, but just when you need relief from all that anti dehydration liquid, every man, woman, dog and their ute drives or walks past, and no tree or tumble down wall is safe to hide behind, not even for 20 seconds of tense standoff.

So, I found a loo reasonably quickly, with its trouser clad icon, strange in this era of everyone wearing anything, but anyway.

Thing was, the men's casual relief area was almost in public view.

No wonder, in these weather challenged areas of outbackish Australia, people and animals die of "exposure".
