Theses are my thoughts and ramblings as I forge my way through this thing they call life. |
Today's blogs... Blog City – Day 80 – May 22 Prompt: Did you go to your High School Prom? Tell us your story. No. At the time, I believe I was dating someone - my first boyfriend, in fact, but he had graduated - being a year older than me. He was going to Conestoga College - the Guelph campus, so we were still seeing each other, but I do not think anything was mentioned of the prom between us. A romantic part of me wishes I had the experience in my trousseau, but another part could care less. What is the big deal anyway? You buy a fancy dress, get all dolled up and for what? I think I've seen too many movies that extol bad things happening that I did not want the headache. Not only that, my friends are in the grade below me (without dates) so they would not be going either. It would be like the grade 8 graduation dance all over - no thank you to that! 30 Day Blogging Challenge May 22 Prompt - Thursday prompt is something you figure out to be.... What in the world would ‘I figure out to be...’ - I do not even have a niggling of an idea in this realm. Maybe the classic - being an adult is not as fabulous as I thought it would be when I was a kid, but even that holds no charm today. I will take some time away and let this ruminate. I’ve come back to this again... my mind curling around Earl’s teaching comment. It got me thinking about how I figured out that my written class lesson plans would never quite fit the time I had set for them. It was the little things like handing out textbooks and gathering supplies that took a surprisingly long time, eating up class learning time. Once I learned that, I wrote up and taught my students the ‘procedures’ for these unaccounted for time zappers. Then when I taught my lessons these zappers were taken into account and things ran much more smoothly. ** Image ID #1988708 Unavailable ** ** Image ID #1855238 Unavailable ** |
