Allegiant: Spoiler Alert
SPOILER ALERT

I just finished (except for the Epilogue, I will finish that tomorrow) the third book in the Divergent series, Allegiant.
As an avid reader of todays young adult fiction literature, I was pleasantly shocked with the author's decision to off the major character. I mean, wow. Bold and beautiful.

I loved Tobias/Four's decision to off his mother the chance and she took him up on it withOUT erasing anything.

I loved how she touched on insanity and how it can not be fixed with hope and positive thinking. True evil probably cannot even be fixed with memory serum.....

I hope Peter truly changes, perhaps his parents and other factors 'nurtured' him to be evil, but I highly doubt it. Evil like that is fairly incarnate/innate.

I love how Tris was able to see the fear in her brother's eyes. For her sake I pray he makes something of himself in this lengthy epilogue.

I love the end message. I was slightly disappointed in the beginning because of all the recurring themes...but I get why this series has been overshadowed by the Hunger Games. The message is less flashy but much more impactful. Powerful stuff....
