Splendor

Splendor


The lone boatman
looks to the east seeking
solace in the ardent arms
of dawn, the morning queen.

He lingers on the calm
white waters of an endless ocean
to ponder and absorb
the beauty of her colorful passion.

He watches, overwhelmed,
breathless in awe and wonder
at the cosmic play of hues
in harmonious splendor.

His heart goes up to
the Creator in silent gratitude
for gifting him a spectacle
of matchless beatitude.
