Is it early or neo-?
Is it commemorative or nostalgic?
Is it marking a place in time,
or is it placing time for a later date
to be admired?
Am I supposed to be right, intuitive,
or just lost? Lost without questions?
If I'm on something,
will I figure it out?
If I burn it, will it be pure?
Is the naked girl
of any significance
to the artist in question?
Her boobs aren't that big-
or nice.
Am I here for the enjoyment?
The education?
There's no food, so no, not for fun.
I want to figure it all out.
I want not just to know it,
but be able to
see it, feel it, taste it, smell it,
indulge in it, bathe in it,
be taxed by it, handily beaten by it,
worked by it, earned for it,
learned from it, burned by it,
saved because of it,
and exiled because I hold its secrets.
I don't want to see; I want to BE.
