English Words
Prompt: Lyn talked about Canterbury tales and the words that we use now that weren't used back in the 1300's. I tried to think of words and what kind of conversations I would have had with the people of the 1300's.
I wouldn't be talking about "Twilight", Jane Austen or supernatural things. They would think I was a witch. Selfies wasn't a word back then. Here are some words that didn't exist back then: Scrapbook, Soap operas, Television, Smart Phone, Computer, National Park, Besties, Bromance, Concept, Global Warming, Meterologist, Congress, Rap, Internet, Web Site, Tractor, Combine, Detective, Tabloids, Hollywood, Insurance, just to name a few. We would have had to live in that time era to understand their conversations. I probably wouldn't have said much back then. Freedom of speech wasn't honored back then. I would be afraid of everyone thinking I was a witch or something.
