U30BC: Define your Mystery Protagonist
Prompt for June 4, 2015: In conjunction with yesterday's prompt, what job would your mystery solver have? Would your protagonist be male or female, or something else altogether such as an animal?

Since I have little trust in the justice system, I am leaning toward vigilante style justice. That means my protagonist would have to be a normal person or whatever who just wants to do the right thing. At this point I don't think it matters if that helper is a male, female, child or dog...or cheetah. Now an exotic animal thrown in the mix would be interesting....stupid, but interesting.

If I use a human protagonist, s/he would have to be a little concerned about helping my target which creates a scenario where all the actions would have that halting rhythm of wondering if this a correct act or not. I can't stand perfect. My protagonist would be an ordinary Jo/e, complete with physical flaws. No lean, hard body or model-perfect face. I would probably dork out and give my protagonist something to set them apart, maybe constantly pushing up glasses, a fake arm, a broken ankle, shoelaces that can't stay tied, you know? Something odd or that sets him/her apart. My target would be as strong as the helper, but needs a mystery solver to figure out why he/she got to be the target in the first place and then to maneuver out of the fix.

As always everything has that undercurrent of justice flowing through it -- because that's the way I roll. I am not sure how the hunter would justify his/her actions, I just know that it would not be without a cause, even if it is a stupid or nonsensical cause. There would have to be some relationship between the protagonist and the hunter (i.e. brothers/sisters, co-workers, previous prey) to make my scenario work.
