“Shields raising.” Control sounds came from the right side of the bridge.

“Locate Fonkdoran vessel.”

“Fonkdoran vessel located 100 rets off starboard bow.”

“Activate energy weapons.”

“Energy weapons activated.”

“Target Fonkdoran vessel.”

“Fonkdoran vessel targeted.”

“Fire.”

The pirate vessel exploded and disintegrated. The shuttle with the two remaining pirates had not reached their mother ship. I'll give them a sporting chance, thought Drago. Perhaps they had reinforcements on the way who will pick them up.

“Deactivate weapons.”

“Weapons deactivated.”

“Resume original course.”

“Course resumed.”

“Engage lightspeed drive.”

“Lightspeed drive engaged.”
