Day 24: "The Dragon," Back on the shuttle

When they had given up the search, I slipped back into the water and retreated to the shuttle. I took the craft up so that a very small portion appeared above the surface, and I opened the craft to the night air. I was growing accustomed to breathing the planet's atmosphere, and I found it preferable to the atmospheric recyclers on board the shuttle. I connected the suit to the bio-charger and allowed it to take nourishment. I then went to work analyzing the tissue samples I had collected using the shuttle's portable laboratory. The shuttle sent the data to the ship, which I had placed in synchronous orbit high above the planet's surface.
