Day 33: Draco introduces himself to Johann

The young man brought out his paint supplies and began to paint on the wall of the cave. He had been painting pictures of various things. I think he was doing studies before trying a larger work.

I spoke softly, “I like your work, Johann. I might suggest a bit more of a round loop to make the petals of the flower, though.”

Johann whirled around, startled, and squinted towards the back of the cave. “Wh . . . who's there?”

“No need to be frightened. I'm Draco. I've just been admiring your artwork.”

“How do you know my name?”

“I'm a traveler and a student of humanity. I've been watching your village for some time to learn about your culture.”
