Day 6 Yellowstone rainy day
I did not know tents in 2015 leak in the rain. I guess they don't have to if you use a sealer on them or buy double wall in a material that does not leak. Use a rain cover on your tent and dig a trench around it when you set up.

So, during the rain there won't be many bird sounds because they huddle in tree nooks to keep dry. There are always jays around where people are living. Wildlife is quieter when it rains because they bed down and try to keep dry.

46 degrees Fahrenheit won't be to bad if you have the proper clothing and stay dry. If we cook, I vote for hot drinks, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and hot food. If you are dry in the tents today is a day for reading and writing post cards. If the campsite is quiet you may see small animals wandering in to look around: Rabbits, woodchucks, deer, squirrels.

This is a good day to keep food odors under control. How are you going to cook in the rain if you don't have a shelter over the fire? Will a tarp and 4 stakes work?
