Boyds Bears, Vulgarity and Wit
BCOF Prompt: Write a story or poem about something you found in a thrift shop.

I bought Boyds stuffed bears at a garage sale. They were five dollars apiece. They looked brand new. I guess they were on a shelf and no children played with them. One is wearing a red coat and hat, one wears a blue dress with a bow and one wears a green plaid dress. I thought they were so cute. They cost $30.00 a piece in the stores. This is was a deal.

Blog City Prompt: "Vulgarity is no substitute for wit." Maggie Smith Downton Abbey

How do you think vulgarity and wit affect speech?

I love Downton Abbey and I agree with Grandma Violet. Vulgarity sound being confined between a small amount of people. A woman used the F word at WalMart. Like really? Vulgarity and wit don't go together. Some people think vulgarity is the only form of speech but it makes a person seem rude and uneducated. I don't want to hurt anyone. At my job, this one woman is so vulgar. I love her but others think she is ruthless and unworthy and as for wit. Keep your wit. I heard some people say people who cuss don't have any brains. I don't know. I try not to be a vulgar person.
