Little Duckling's Treasure Gems
Little Ducklings treasure gems
By Lisa Noe
He followed me where ever I’d go
He even followed me through the snow
Through the rain, he did not care
You know he followed me everywhere
Little duckling with rubber boots
Wonders about the train that goes by and toots
Where does it go he wonders hard
Someplace where ducklings may be barred
In the pond I will hop
I’ll hit the water with a great big plop
Swimming cross the water deep
As I watch him stand and weep
Why do you weep I ask my friend
Because the water becomes my end
“What” I ask with great surprise
I can’t swim I sure would die
That’s OK, I’ll come ashore
And won’t go in the water no more
At least not when your with me friend
On those words you can depend.
The duckling smiled as did the boy
Who followed him with pure joy
Little boys must learn to swim
So they might find the duckling gems
In the water they do reside
But not on either side
In the middle of the pond
You will find their magic wand.
