Blog City Prompt: Is there a scene or image that keeps popping up in your writing when you are writing? I focus on the genre I am writing in like if I am writing a medieval story, Halloween story or any genre I write in. I think of black cats and pumpkins at Halloween. I have a story in mind about a young girl who is like Red Riding Hood and leaves her home after a fight with her father. She meets a big red wolf, a fairy who was her mother in life and a knight. I think of this story when I am writing. I write about women and use my feelings when I write. When I write Jane Austen stories, I think of Elizabeth and Darcy. I like to write stories about them after "Pride and Prejudice." My mind is always working and I never know what scenes will run my mind. BCOF Prompt: Lynn asked what horror movies scare us or horror books. "The Ring" gets to me. A mother threw her adopted daughter down a well and she died. Other people kept seeing chairs, dead horse, a well, water and a scary little girl. I went to go to bed and couldn't walk through my bedroom door. I saw my VCR Clock and kept thinking why can't I walk through my bed room door? This was scary. Come to find out, I was trying to walk through my microwave cabinet! I wasn't going to fit through there. I just knew that little girl was coming to get me! I have seen all the Freddy ones, Michael Meyers and Jason ones. I quit watching them. I don't like horror or movies with a lot of blood. I don't consider "Twilight" horror. It's not. That new "Wolf Man" movie was awful. Give me the old werewolf movie! ** Image ID #2062891 Unavailable ** |
