Is it true, because it is truth? |
The mobile home began to shake. Daryl an Angie ran into the bathroom and hid in their iron tub. They had recently installed the old eagle claw tub and could both fit in it. There had been no tornado warnings or any alerts on the telli. The soccer game could be heard through the plywood walls of the bathroom. "I thought that was an earthquake." Daryl said. "I heard a roar of wind, like a tornado." Angie answered and timidly peeked out the tiny slotted shudders of the bathroom window. She gasped at the sight ... "We're flying." she whispered to her husband. Daryl looked out the window cranking the shudders slowly down.. "Gaud all mighty." he grabbed her and huddled inside the tub. They kissed passionately and made love. The mobile home came to rest with a thud. "I'll go take a look." Daryl said firmly. He took his shotgun ... Daryl opened the front door slowly .. They had landed in a green wilderness with brilliant fireflies flying about his head. "Honey!" he shouted to his wife. Angie ran up behind him as one of the fireflies grew into a beautiful feary girl with radiant green eyes. "Hi. I'm Winkin. I and my friends have decided to keep you as pets. Oh? We're immortal . That gun wont hurt us." Winkin gave a toothy smile and turned Daryl's gun into a white rose. Angie gasped and hid behind Daryl. "This isn't fair. We are human beings not pets." Angie trembled as she spoke. "You don't have a choice." Winkin answered. Winkin waved her flute and the mobile home vanished as did Daryl's and Angie's clothes. Their skin grew a multi colored short fur. "That should keep you warm." Winkin said. "Why are you doing this?" Daryl queried as his nails grew claws. Winkin giggled and skipped about them. Her radiant pale skin was as bright as the Sun. "I and my friends have no need for clothes or bodies, but it is fun to play with mortals." Winkin laughed. All the fireflies covered Daryl and Angie. The light was brilliant and multicolored .. Daryl and Angie felt a love they had never known. "This must be Heaven." Angie said. They would never leave this enchanted feary land. They would never want to. Reflections: Do you worship miracles? 77 V |
