Blog City Prompt: Lyn asked if authors should attend work shops to help with their writing goals and asked if we would if we had a chance.

I wrote an item for Guideposts and twelve winners would be chosen to go to Washington State for a five day writing workshop and get to meet Debbie Macomber. I love her writing. I thought since I would be in Washington State if I won, I could sneak over to Forks, Washington. This workshop was to learn to write religious inspired items. I have written a few religious items but I wasn't chosen. I never got an acceptance letter. My friends say maybe there were so many entries that mine never got read. I had written an item about the houses that built me based on Miranda Lambert's song. Dad was in the Air Force and we moved a lot and lived in a lot of different houses.We had a house burn down and I included that as well in my entry. I felt bad that I wasn't chosen. I really haven't entered a contest since and haven't tried to get anything published. If there was a writers workshop near by, I would sign up for it. I think a writer's workshop would be fun and helpful.

Days off from work. Being at WDC and writing and getting nice reviews and make new friends. Going shopping. Scrapbooking and stress relief coloring. Spending time with friends. Reading new books. Christmas. I love Christmas. Eating sweets. Spending time with my husband and kitty. When I have no health issues, Joy. Anything that makes me happy.
