The Field

Painted daisies in a field
Red, yellow and white
Like a little lonesome lamb
Lying in that field.
The lamb feeds off the flowers
Off the flowers the lamb feeds

A little boy watches the lamb
Eating all the flowers he skips
Into the field to pet the little lamb
To pet the little lamb, the boy skips
Into the field.

The little boy hugs the lamb
Just a babe in arms
A glorious picture this makes
A picture so glorious is made.
