Two hanging out and only one can be reached

Here is the problem: Two stars, only one can be reached within a lifetime. How do you proceed? Clone yourself and go to both. This is sort of the theme to a larger work that I am working on writing. I was thinking about this on the way to work this morning and I didn't want to forget it so I am writing it here as a reminder. Good to have some sort of focus, right?
