Day 51 Give It A 100 Marguerite McHenry

I was watching "Jeopardy" and the catergory was about animals and literature. I knew all the answers. They were children's books and Marguerite McHenry wrote books about horses. That was one of the questions. I loved her horse stories books. I looked them up at Barnes and Nobles and they have her books! I am going to be downloading some of these. I forgot how much I loved her books and I would write my horse stories in grade school. They weren't the best but Mom kept all of them. She gave them back to me a couple of years ago. I would hear a new name for a horse and I had to write about him or her. I loved "Fury" "Flicka" and "Black Beauty." My cousin loved horses and she would give me names of horses and story ideas. So did my friends.

I took a Children's Literature Class in college and I made an A. That was an easy class. I loved that class.

I am so happy Marguerite McHenry's horse stories are still in print like Nancy Drew. I will make these horse stories as part of my summer reading. I can't remember them but I am sure I will once I start reading them. I will feel like a kid again.
