Building Castles In The Skies/week 1\Romance\Poetry
To lay in grasses 'n fantasize
'bout his brawniness,
those blue obliging eyes
with resolute courageousness.

The way he holds his sword-
a man of worthy praise.
The man I love - a Lord
set in his adoration ways.

I could only try and imagine
a lower class lass as myself
becoming his new attraction-
he would chuckle to himself.

But here he is upon his horse
staring down upon my heaving chest,
I could only blush of course.
"You are so lovely" he expressed.

He took my hand and placed a kiss
while looking into my eyes.
"May I sit a while miss?"
Who was I to scrutinize?

We built castles in the skies;
Him a Lord 'n I his Lady.
I was his pride and prize,
So- No I wasn't ready.

When we were taken by surprise
that left blood shed and tears-
from those who were our allies
leaving me to my demise.

Memories now of his devotion
to always love me near or far
stirs up quiet emotions-
as I smile at the brightest star.
