The Holy Office of the Roman Congregation
has decreed, "Birth control is unnatural
and immoral vice. It defeats the immediate
end of a natural instinct of humanity;
it leads to the use of a function, which
preeminently calls for the exercise of
self-control. The pleasures of marriage
are innocent in view of childbearing;
they become degrading, only when separated
from the sacrifices and responsibility
of parenthood... Many physicians have linked
uterine cancer, sterility, birth defects and
neurosis to this interference with the laws
of natural reproduction."

This is what I grew up with.
Sex is for reproduction, according to the
Vatican.+
The Catholic Church forbids sex outside of
marriage and the use of a condom.
It would beg the debate to point out that
most Catholics ignore this tenant of their faith.
The Holy Fathers would simply call them sinners.
This leads to the obvious statement,
"So what?"
I see attractive women all day long and
they aren't interested in me.
That's contraception through natural selection.

The Holy Office of the Roman Congregation denies
overpopulation .. "Every mouth can be fed with our
agriculture." Oh, really?
Why is two thirds of the world starving? According
to the United Nations the deserts are growing globally.
Is it just immorality?
The Catholic Church encourages large families for a
better world... How great is that?
