Somebody lays in bed Restless energy nips and bites Sleep is lost in this battle of inner tension A voice whispers - You will die a slow death if you don't move. Somebody shifts, throws off the covers and sits up Legs flip over the edge of the bed Then touchdown... The floor sends icy ripples and shards surging through the barely awake soul Like lightening, Somebody jumps Grabbing clothing and volting out of the place Where? Anywhere. So long as it is out beyond the walls Walls that only confine and hold a body prisoner. Somebody is out into the sunshine Out where the warm breeze caresses Out where the birds sing for the glory of the day And life expands Possibilities blossom and open fully. Somebody takes flight Follows their nose And finds themselves on an adventure An adventure that makes the ordinary Extraordinary. Somebody is filled with renewed hope Waylaid dreams begin to poke beyond the surface of slumber Gumption to strive takes hold Walls of restriction are shattered. Life reawakens All because.... Somebody decided to just go... Go somewhere. Lines = 33 DAY 1: Prompt ▼ ** Image ID #1855238 Unavailable ** |
