I Would Die 4 You
I'm not your lover. I'm not your friend. No need to worry. No need to cry. I would die 4 you if you want me to. I'm your Messiah and you're the reason why.

If you love someone, you are their lover and friend and if you would die for them, you are more then a friend. Messiah? I feel this is reserved for Jesus. I never got the lyrics but I do love this song and I love when he sings it at the end of "Purple Rain." His dancing and singing makes you sing and dance with him.

A lot of times with songs, I just love the beat and try not to think of the lyrics when I don't agree with them. Go with the flow and let the music take you wherever. I am sure every singer has songs like that. Love the beat, forget the lyrics.

His songs from "Purple Rain" are the best. I enjoy watching him and my husband told his father years ago that I was in love with Prince. His father laughed. I loved Prince.

When Prince sings this song, he looks at Apollonia and she is smiling and pointing at him. This movie is a great love story in spite of the problems with Prince's parents, Morris Day and it is a great movie. I never get tired of watching it.

Back to the song. I would die for someone I loved. I think everyone would. I want to play this song and dance. Thank you, Prince again for the music. Love you always.
