What Things Mean, Bob Dylan Quote

Prompt: "Sometimes it's not enough to know what things mean, sometimes you have to know what things don't mean." Bob Dylan What is your take on this quote?

I found this quote interesting. They tell us at work we can take a mental health day. My boss says it doesn't mean we can take one every week. Our patients miss their cigarette time because they were in the shower. They can have one. This doesn't mean they can miss it all the time and still get one. You can make a mistake one time but don't make a habit of it.

We can be late once in awhile at work but don't make it a habit. Like Trump and Hillary. Do they know what things mean and don't mean? I don't think so. They don't explain themselves. We are surprised because?

Maybe this is like what my father used to say: "Do as I say, not as I do." Bob Dylan's quote definitely comes into play a lot. This is my take on this quote.
